Italia is a Layman range of glazed display cabinets for a run of kitchen units or an island. Each cabinet has an aluminium frame in a gold, copper or black finish around tinted glass, with glass shelves inside and BLUM hinges on the door, and you can add shelf lighting as an option. You can pair the cabinets with fronts from other ranges, Jessica for example, and the island versions also work from the living-room side. The range's own U 108 aluminium handle, with 98 mm hole spacing, is fitted in the middle of the front edge and comes in three finishes.

Gold-framed display cabinet

A gold-coloured aluminium profile surrounds graphite-toned glass. BLUM hinges and glass shelves are included as standard, and shelf lighting can be added.

The black aluminium profile sits well with matt Velvet fronts and with concrete or marble decors, and suits modern rooms with a loft character.

Copper-framed display cabinet

A copper-toned frame pairs with CLEAF wood-effect decors and the warm shades of veneer. Behind the darker glass, on glass shelves, you can show off the pieces you want to keep in sight.

Planning an island with Italia units

Italia has dedicated units for islands and peninsulas, which you combine to match the dimensions of the room. Day to day, the island can double as a table.

Units DSW6/3, DW6, DW45 and PPW105/65 each have two fronts: the front one opens with a handle and the rear one is fixed. Overall height is 82 cm on 10 cm legs or 87 cm on 15 cm legs.
The DWW6, DWW45 and DWW4 island display cabinets have BLUM hinges, tinted glass in an aluminium frame and glass shelves. Their height matches the units above.
Island unit depth can be altered at no extra cost.
DBOW58 is a built‑in unit whose fronts match the carcass colour or a laminate. It is 30 cm wide, 58 cm deep and as tall as the other units.
Island units can be arranged in any configuration. Leave 120 cm between the base units and the island so that doors open without obstruction.
Where units stand back to back, plan a worktop with a minimum width of 90 cm.
If the island is made up of single units, DBOW58 serves as its end piece.

Closer to Nature: wood-effect fronts

Laminated board, 18 mm, with a pronounced wood grain and Italian CLEAF decors among the options. You decide the grain direction in the design.

Worktops

Two lines of laminate worktop: Closer to Nature, 28 mm thick and 600 or 1200 mm deep, and Noble Monolith, 38 mm thick and 600 or 920 mm deep. Decors include plain colours as well as stone and wood effects.
